The Church History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wants to connect with social media users. The Church History Department is hoping to give people somewhere to turn for updates and exclusive content. The official church history social media pages are listed below, as outlined by churchofjesuschrist.org:

Church History Library: Followers will receive access to updates of the digitized collections and be able to learn about important Church history events.

Church History Museum: The Church History Museum is home to many artifacts that bring to life the history of the Church. The museum will be closed from October 6, 2014 through October 2015, but followers will be able to receive updates on the renovation progress on the page.

The Joseph Smith Papers Project: This project is focused on publishing complete and accurate transcripts of all of Joseph Smith’s documents. Follow the page to learn of the updates and gain a deeper understanding of various documents.

Joseph Smith, The Prophet: Follow this page to learn more about the prophet Joseph Smith. 

Twitter

LDS Church History: Those following the Church History twitter account will receive highlights from the Church’s past. This includes quotes from previous prophets and apostles, pictures, and information on important history events.

Church History Daily: This twitter account will allow fellow tweeters to learn about and share different aspects from Church history.

LDS Church History: Google+ is a great place to turn for unique photos and stories from Church history.

YouTube

LDS Church History: One of the newest Church accounts, YouTube provides follower with videos highlighting the lives and testimonies of various Church presidents, stories from different members, and a variety of lectures.
