Brigham Young University has opened a new exhibit that celebrates Christ’s words and deeds.

This exhibit is on display on the first floor of the Museum of Art, located on the university’s campus and features paintings and sculptures from a variety of western art traditions and periods.

The exhibit, “In Word and Deed,” includes different pieces of art that may be a little different than what many Latter-day Saints are used to viewing. The museum’s religious art curator, Ashlee Whitaker, told Deseret News,

We hope that visitors to the exhibition are willing to look at things in a new way.

Despite the possible differences, all of the art stems from faith and testimony in Christ and represents either teachings or actions of Jesus Christ.

The exhibit is expected to be open for the next 18 months.
