The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that at the upcoming sessions of General Conference, speakers whose primary language is not English can now give their talks in their native language. LDS.net confirmed the announcement in a message from the Church’s News Media Relations department.

LDS Church spokesman Dale Jones further explained,

“In those cases, English subtitles will be shown on screens in the Conference Center and a live English interpretation will be provided for all other English-language broadcasts including satellite, cable, television, and the Internet.”

Speakers will have the choice to speak in their preferred language, and it will be interesting to see which speakers choose to speak in their native tongue.
