On Monday, funeral services were held for Elder Richard G. Scott in Salt Lake City. Michael W. Scott shared stories of his father’s sense of humor and love of the water, painting, and his beloved wife Jeanene. Elder Christofferson, President Nelson, and President Thomas S. Monson also shared memories of their dear friend. President Monson said,
I’m certain that many here today are recipients of the tender and personal care always extended by our beloved Elder Scott. His motto has always been the Lord Jesus Christ. Like the master, he went about doing good and God was with him.
0:53 – ‘Don’t Stop’ Program for Early Returned Missionaries
And a sister from Orem, Utah has launched a program for missionaries who return home early. Ashley Sargeant has created a month’s worth of videos to watch and a guide book with ideas of ways to cope with feelings of discouragement. The resources are available for free at dontstopsargeant.com.
“But it was the words that she told me on my last day in the mission field that saved my life. And those words were, whatever you do, just don’t stop Sister Sargeant, just don’t stop.”
