The Desert News reported that 67 missionaries who had been serving in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission will be sent home to complete their missions in their home countries. Mormonnewsroom.org also states that 41 missionaries who are preparing to enter this mission will now be reassigned.

The Deseret News also report also stated,

This latest mission announcement comes days before a planned Sunday referendum on autonomy in Donetsk, an eastern Ukraine city that has been caught up in ongoing protests by pro-Russian separatists since March 1.

The recent turmoil in Ukraine also caused The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to move 23 missionaries out of the Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Mission on March 1, 2014. This leaves only two Ukrainian missions unaffected: Kiev and L’viv.

How long do you think the church will stay out of these ares? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
