Devastation struck France yesterday as Paris endured a terrorist attack on a satirical newspaper. The massacre is among the deadliest attacks in postwar France, leaving 12 dead.

 

Former U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney expressed his condolences to France, where he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1966-68. He posted the following to his Facebook page:

While running for president of the United States, it made headlines that Romney was fluent in French. Romney attributes much of who he is today to the time he spent on his mission in France.
