Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu and surrounding South Pacific Islands last week and the Church reports that missionaries serving in the Fiji Suva, Vanuatu Port Villa, and surrounding islands are safe. The Church has begun sending missionaries to outlying islands with food and supplies for the people that were devastated by this category 5 cyclone.
0:24 – Dedication of Two Temples in Mexico
The Church will dedicate two more temples later this year in Mexico. The Mexico City temple will be re-dedicated September 13th following massive remodeling. The Tijuana temple will be dedicated December 13th and will serve 25,000 members.
0:40 – Relief Society Turns 173-Years-Old
And the Relief Society Organization celebrated its 173rd birthday this week. Sisters in the YSA 97th ward in Provo, Utah, celebrated by studying and honoring the lives of former presidents who served in the general Relief Society presidency.
