Members of the Church in West Africa are still coping with the Ebola virus outbreak. Some areas are quarantined or in lock down and families are required to remain in their homes. The Church has supplied members and others in need, with a 2-month food supply and sanitation supplies, including chlorine, which kills the virus. The Church has also encouraged members in all areas to follow the health guidelines given by local health officials.
0:36 – Change in Institute Curriculum
A letter from Brigham Young University’s religious education faculty announced a new course curriculum for all BYU religion and LDS institute programs. While the fourteen required credits will no longer focus on specific books of scripture, they will still use the scriptures to study the topics of Jesus Christ, the restoration, and eternal families. The new courses are set to begin in fall 2015.

The Church is hosting another live event for its youth, this time with world-famous violinist, Lindsey Stirling. Teens are encouraged to submit questions before the event, which will then be selected by the general Young Men and Young Women presidents, who will moderate the event. Lindsey’s Q & A will go live on November 25th.
