For the first time in 22 years, the Parliament of The World’s Religions will host its conference in the United States. In the official announcement of the upcoming 2015 conference, Parliament Chair Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid, stated:

America is the home base of the interfaith movement and it’s about time the Parliament come back home.

The conference is scheduled to take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, beginning on October 15 and continuing through October 19, 2015. According to the Huffington Post, the conference will include the themes and topics of climate change, the wealth gap and global violence.

It is expected that the conference will engage with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as Mujahid told Huffinton Post:

We feel that there is extraordinary openness and desire on the part of the LDS church to be a part of the multi-religious movement. We have been very thankful for their openness and hospitality.

All are invited to attend the conference in October of 2015. Registration is now open with a possible 70 to 80 percent discount for students, dependent on time of registration.
