Southern Virginia University to Host a Spiritual Retreat

Southern Virginia University will be hosting a two day conference titled, “By Their Fruits,” which will feature Elder Spencer J. Condie, an emeritus General Authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as the keynote speaker.

The annual conference has been a feature of Southern Virginia University for 18 years in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and features various activities and entertainment, in addition to being a “spiritual retreat.”

This year’s conference is inspired from the Lord’s counsel. Kathleen Knight, who has organized the event since 1997, said,

“To his disciples and followers, in both the old and new worlds, Jesus gave a simple, fail-proof test by which his followers might avoid deception, which is most applicable today: ye shall know them ‘by their fruits.’”

The conference will take place on Friday and Saturday June 20-21. For more information on the event and to register, see the press release from SVU.
