Today, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the groundbreaking date for both the Tucson Arizona Temple and Concepción Chile Temple will be October 17, 2015.
Both of the groundbreaking ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. Mormon Newsroom reports that attendance is by invitation only, but that the public can view the event live from local meetinghouses.
The Church currently has 147 operating temples in the world. The Tuscon temple will be the sixth temple built in Arizona, whereas the Concepción will be the second in Chile.
