The Mormon Channel has posted a new video on overcoming pornography addiction. Linda S. Reeves, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency talks in the video about the dangers of pornography and the healing power of Jesus Christ:
Healing from the effects of pornography takes time. Everyone’s situation is different. We need to know and have faith that the Savior knows us and our very situation and He knows how to heal us and heal those around us… Our Father in Heaven loves each and every one of His children. He knew about pornography, that this would be the plague of our day, and so He has provided an escape. Its almost beyond our ability to comprehend, but it is so true, our Father in Heaven has provided a way for our escape.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides additional resources at overcomingpornography.org, an anti-pornography website to help individuals overcome and recover from pornography. The site offers resources and suggestions for individuals, families, and Church leaders. About the site, Elder Craig A. Cardon of the First Quorum of the Seventy said, ” With so many struggling with pornography addiction, this will be a beacon of light, strength, and help for those dealing with the effects of pornography, no matter who they may be”
Let us all improve our personal behavior and redouble our efforts to protect our loved ones and our environment from the onslaught of pornography.
