A group of BYU students took a Harry Potter parody twist on the song “Uptown Funk,” and the Internet’s reaction has been huge.

Gracing the home page of Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan, and The Huffington Post, to name a few, these Mormon boys had no idea their weekend fun would go viral.

“Caught the kid, boy who lived. Harry’s outta luck,” the song says. “With the Elder wand, stop the chosen one. Maybe make a new horcrux?”

The group is humbled by the positive response their video has received.

“It’s totally okay to watch it more than once,” said Voldemort actor, Elijah Thomas. “Liking is good. Sharing is great. May the funky dark magic keep you vibing all week long.”

“Dark Lord Funk,” released yesterday, has received more than 250,000 views.
