A recent Pew Research study revealed that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tend to lean more Republican than any other religion in the United States.

Pew reports that 70 percent of Latter-day Saints identify with the Republican party, whereas only 19 percent lean towards the Democratic party. When compared to other religions that mainly lean Republican, the Mormon faith has the largest numerical gap between members who lean Republican and members who lean Democratic, with a difference of 51 percentage points.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, 92 percent of the members belonging to the African Methodist Episcopal Church lean Democratic, while only 4 percent prefer the Republican party.
