Thanks for the posts. It really gave a Relief that I am not the only one that has these kind of problems. I recently kick my 21 year old son out of my son despite the many opportunities I gave him. I am single and live by myself and he vandalized some of my house decor including my car windshield before he left. I am really dissapointed and hurt.

You have no idea how much I can relate to this.

The only thing that bothers me is Im worried he has no where else to go. Will he come back to abide by the rules?

He's 19. He will find somewhere to go. Don't short sell your son.

Will he come back? Only time will tell. But if he does ask to come back to live in your home the rules still apply. If he can't abide by the rules then he can't be there. He's an adult and you are justified in expecting him to act like one.

Its hard. Our mothering/nurturing hearts get in the way and we (me!) think "Oh my poor baby. I didn't do enough. Who will feed him? Who will take care of him?" However, until we expect our children to grow up and stand on their own to feet they never will.

Put some walls around your heart. Be strong. Cry in private. Pray! PRAY! and PRAY again.

I've been there and some days I feel like I'm still there. But we do get through this. Parenting adults is harder than the terrible twos, or threes or fives. :)

You aren't kicking him out, he's getting himself kicked out with his immature and unacceptable behavior.

It's like a student asking the teacher, "Why did you give me this 'F'?" Well, dear, you earned it.

It's too bad about your son, OP, but it looks like he earned (through his behavior) what he got (kicked out). Stay strong.
