Just tried that. It seemed to let me, at least didn't tell me that I couldn't because my email was in use. Still, it did the same thing when I tried to join a group.

Maybe it was because your account needed to be revalidated. I did that for you. I'm hoping it will allow you now.

I have a problem: due to the lack of documentation on this, I emailed lds.net asking how many posts/how much time I need to be registered before I can start a thread. I was told about five posts. Here I am at about 13 and I still get a "you can't access this page." Any ideas?

Post good stuff.

Btw, my comment was meant humorously. I would have said the same thing to anyone. "Low-hanging fruit", I believe they call it.

New members need to post some in existing threads (10 posts I think) before they can create threads of their own.

I am only interested in finding information on how to officially resign from the mormon church...so I really need to post in 10 other threads to be able to start a thread to ask that question?

They don't have to be in separate threads, for instance both posts in this thread will count. In this particular case when all you are looking for is information the search feature of the site can be of use. An older thread which will likely contain the information you are seeking: http://www.lds.net/f...etting-out.html

My problem is that I never got the confirmation email (yes, checked spam folder) and that I can't view or change my profile.

At this point Francisco you will need to re-register as your account wasn't validated and your profile was deleted. Just let me know when you do and I can get it validated for you.

Thanks. I just reregistered and got the email this time, so everything appears to be fine.

Actually now I see what the problem is. It's the dash in your name. The program we use doesn't recognize it. If someone were to click on your name to view your profile, it will take them to the home page.

Would it be possible for you to either fix the problem with the dash or remove the dash from my name? ("Francisco_dAnconia") Or do I have to reregister again?

Unfortunately a username is not something I can fix. You would have to re-register again.

I've sent an email to our tech people to see if we can get this resolved somehow.
