Guest
Long-awaited news! This is just a mile from my parents' house, where I grew up. It's a pretty location. I'm excited to see how it all turns out and which temple boundaries we end up in.
prisonchaplain
This may justify a field trip on my part--for the open house. I'll have to mentally/psychologically prepare myself for the matching of large choclate chip cookies with lime water at the visitor's reception area, though. Uncanny--I distinctly remember that being served at the Sacramento temple open house as well. Correlation! prisonchaplain
Guest
pc, if I can help you get tickets, or anything else, it would be my pleasure.
prisonchaplain
Many thanks. When the time comes to announce the open house dates, I'll find out if such a trip will be possible for me. Then I'll see if I need tickets. Sometimes there are special tours for clergy, so it might be informative to go on one of those. I suspect there are many months between now and then though. prisonchaplain
I was disappointed that there were not little disposable bowls of lime jello with shredded carrots on the bottom.

Guest
We are officially dis-invited to the groundbreaking. My brother will probably get to go, since he's in that stake's presidency. But most of us are instructed to watch via satellite from our church buildings.

Well others talked about refreshments too so I wondered if there was something I didn't know about ground breaking ceremonies. :)
