HiJolly
Not really. We haven't rehearsed it all, yet.
Just_A_Guy
So, the Tabernacle Choir hasn't rehearsed all of its Conference numbers with barely a week to go before the big day. And we all know they're going to be magnificent anyways . . . My ward choir director would break down in tears to learn this. We've been practicing our Christmas program for a month already. HiJolly
Ok, now I have a favorite. It's 'Softly and Tenderly' by Will L. Thompson, arranged by Mack Wilberg. 1. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,Calling for you and for me;See, on the portals He's waiting and watching,Watching for you and for me. ChorusCome home, come home,Ye who are weary, come home;Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,Calling, O sinner, come home. 2. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,Pleading for you and for me?Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,Mercies for you and for me? Chorus 3. O for the wonderful love He has promised,Promised for you and for me!Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,Pardon for you and for me. Chorus Come home, come home, come home! classylady

PolarVortex
I would love anything Mack Wilberg arranged... even "Pop Goes the Weasel." Softly and Tenderly is a great hymn. For a while I attended a very liberal church in California (off and on) that reacted to the word "sinner" the way the Wicked Witch of the West reacted to a bucket of water. They had to sanitize the lyrics of this hymn... as I recall, they changed the chorus to "...calling, O pilgrim, come home."

I love his arrangements and have been in a choir that did many of his arrangements. When he came to my house one day I was like a star struck teenager I'm so in awe of his talent.
