Technically lying?

So on the LDS account login page here: https://ldsaccount.lds.org/login it says: "By signing in, you agree to the Rights and Use Information (Updated 2/21/2012) and have read the Privacy Policy (Updated 3/18/2014)."

If you click "sign in" and don't read the privacy policy, is that lying? Also can you agree to something you havent read?

Technically it is lying. Is it still technically lying if you never read that particular line? Regardless of reading, the terms take place.

Privacy policies and terms of use are simply for legal protections I suppose, and if one is in disagreement with it, it's their opportunity to decide against participating.

However, if you happen to break one of their rules of usage and they cut off your account (which I know for a fact that they have done) you have only yourself to blame as you stated you had agreed to the rights and use information.

I don't plan on breaking any rules, just mostly wondering if its morally ok to sign into my LDS account without reading all of the terms and stuff. Personally I think if it says "accept" then its ok, but if it says "I have read" then it's probably lying, still havent decided on "agree" yet. I don't even know if any of this matters, but on google's terms it says that "You should look at the terms regularly". Now since I read that and have "accepted" the terms, don't I have to look at the terms regularly? :/ Which is part of the reason I want to close my google account. I hope I'm not going crazy.

I know it says this:

"By signing in, you ... have read the Privacy Policy (Updated 3/18/2014)."

But what it really means, is this:

"By signing in, you are agreeing that if one of us to ever sues the other, you'll lose, because of what's in the Privacy Policy (Updated 3/18/2014)."

But if you don't read the terms and stuff...how do you know if you'll be breaking any of their rules?
