  1. I'm down in Springfield, MO, so the KC temple is exciting. I wonder if we'll be in that temple district? We're in St. Louis, now. I would imagine they would build the temple in Lenexa, based on the pattern of temple placement in recent history. Lenexa is a "nicer" place in the greater KC area. (I used to live in Lawrence, worked in Lenexa). Anyway, it's really cool. So are the other temples;)
  2. Hey, over43. I've been on the No S diet forever! Are you on the forums?
  3. No matter where I go, the Provo Mission gets some raised eyebrows. Boy, could I throw some crazy stories your way, especially from my time on the BYU campus. I was "The One" for at least four different coeds. And they know - it was revealed to them!
  4. Thanks, connerific. I suppose that explains his true position. Delio32, you bring up a point of much debate - the assumption that there is only THE prophet. The truth is that in times past it wasn't uncommon to have many prophets living at the same time. An example is Lehi. He wasn't the only prophet in Jerusalem circa 600 BC. I think that was the cause of a lot of the confusion in class today. Some argued that Helaman was the only prophet, others said both Moroni and Helaman were prophets and yet still, others said there were many prophets besides these two. Sometimes I long for the days of teaching Gospel Essentials where we stuck to fundamental principles and building testimonies.
  5. I was teaching Gospel Doctrine today and one of the class members asked if Captain Moroni was a prophet. I seem to remember a passage stating that he was, but I don't remember where. If I'm wrong I'll admit it, but I can't seem to find the answer. Does anyone have any insight into this? I'll need some sort of evidence. You know those really difficult Gospel Doctrine classes where they get hung up on really minor things? I've got one of those. Thanks for any help you can give.
  6. Here goes. I'm 37. I served in the Provo mission. I'm married. I have 2 kids. I teach gospel doctrine. I'm a high priest. I hate introductions.
