Did the people know at that time how bad it was? Nope. How many horrible things happen that you never hear of? I would easily say 3 times more.

Well done, now you can remember the scriptures, you're as good as a typical Christian. Now re-read it when you feel like LEARNING something. Seriously, there is no shortcut, you can't just memorize the book of mormon.

Yes, the importance of reading the scriptures and praying as a family, is great. Unfortunately, my mom (she is a member) is inactive and my brother hates my religion. So I am the only one in my family who is an active member . Not everyone can have family time in terms of our religion, that is my point :). ~Rory.
