I once cheated on my wife I told the bishop in order to gain full membership of the church again. He said that I just needed to have confesed which I did both to my wife and the bishop then I did not take the sacurment for 2 months. For Baptism they won't be so strict on it. They might not even dely the baptism at all. Mainly because the person in question did not know prior and it's for the remission of sins so I don't think it should be a big deal as long as the person understands the law of chasity.

HI, my name is CJ, I am going to be ordained an Elder in about one month. I was born in the church but I became inactive around the age of 17. I am now 29 years old. I was an alcoholic, drug addict, and cult member, and other wise a spiritually sick person for a long time. I could not overcome alcoholism no matter how hard I tried I needed booze more then I needed food some times. God has helped me a lot recently I am doing much better and moving forward with God's help. I am going to church again, going home teaching with the stake president. I have a long way to go but I am excited to finally get the priesthood and I know what it means to have this honor and responsibility. When I left the church at 17 I was a Priest so it will be nice to have this fullness of the great priesthood.
