I believe the best way is to study the KJV along with the Joseph Smith Translations. Also by the way many of the foreign language translated versions are more correct than the English version. Just FYI

Open Scripture at its most simple form simply means that we can receive more scripture at any time provided it is the will of God and that it is received through the proper channels of inspiration, for example, from our current prophet.

I thought his talk was excellent. I especially liked the conversion story of his wife's family and how she had a family member, was it her aunt? I think, who was very upset and went to find the missionaries and ended up being baptized. I know so many stories like this, it just goes to show you how powerful the spirit is.

I love Pres. Monson. I always have. He is awesome. I was at a BYU women's conference about 5 years ago and I heard the most hiliarous talk about him going grocery shopping for his wife when she was sick. I remember him talking about rolling tomatoes on the floor and all kinds of other funny stuff. He has just as much a sense of humor as Pres. Hinckley if not more. Very funny!

also I might add that if the family member has any other still living and close relatives such as a spouse or parent then you need their permission to do it if they are not LDS

Although not really exclusively a LDS Book, President Hinckley's book, Standing for Something is great, and it was nationally published so I'm sure you could find a copy locally.

I am not sure where it comes from, but it is my understanding that we will never again practice poligamy in this life, only in the next life after the milinimum will it be practiced so there really is no need to worry about it.

Anything by Anita Stansfield or Rachel Ann Nunes is going to be good. I love their novels.

I don't believe rap-rhythm is a repellent to the Spirit. Gospel rap is gospel music. When we decide whether or not to listen to certain music, we should base our decision on the 13th article of faith. We really cannot say if one kind of music is all bad or all good.

I would say that an antichrist is any person, thing or movement which goes against the teachings of Christ and his church.
