  1. Your Grandpa loves you no matter what. He is letting you know that he is with you and is watching over you. It would not surprise me if he is around your future child preparing him or her for mortality as well. We all make mistakes. It is how we deal with them that matters. You will be fine. You know now that we are not alone. We have support on both sides. Enjoy your future Motherhood. There are no coincedences in life. :)
  2. Upon research I do not see to much instruction related to the Father. I do read that children born to a Mother who had a Temple Sealing are born under the Covenant. I am sure that once approval is given for you and your husband to be sealed, then you and husband and all your living children can enter into the Temple to be sealed together as a family.
  3. We all make mistakes in life some with stiffer consequences than others. I can tell you that unless you commited a terrible crime or really hurt people openly by stealing money from or items which resulted in people suffering severely then you will not be excommunticated. Just because you go to Prison does not mean that you are a terrible person. It means that you made a bad choice. We just hope that we learn from our mistakes or bad choices and move forward. I am always one to step up and take the punishment that I have comming. I would suggest to make an appointment with your Bishop if you have not already. Also in Prison if you are endowed you can receive permission through your Chaplin to get your religious garments and wear them. I do not think that Excommunication will be in your future. We will allways be eternally gratefull to our Savior Jesus Christ for the Atonement which allows repentance. Keep your head up. It is not the end of the world. Prison's need all the Missionaries they can get. You will be surprised at a Prison Camp that you will be able to teach the Gospel. There are no coincedences. You are going to Prison for a reason. Stay strong.:)
  4. There are many types of missions or serving opporutunities within the church. Heavenly Father understands your situtation. The regrets that you are feeling for not serving a Mission are normal. But with that said there are many things in our life we should of , could of would of. Things of the past should be in the past. With that said, Sometimes it is neccesary to look back depending on the circumstance to ensure that we do not make the same mistake twice. Your child is part of your Mission. As far as Serving in the Church, "The field is white already to harvest; wherefore, thrust in your sickles, and reap with all your might, mind and strenght." D & C 33:7. Brother in your ward I am sure that there are many opportunities to serve, If not which I see highly unlikely, we welcome you to come help in our part of the Vinyard in Southern Ca. We all are Missionaries. I enjoyed a talk given by one of the Apostles in the 1st Presidency, about the Moving of a piano. The talk was given that wherever you are in life and whatever your situation is, you do what you can where you are. We must do something. I promise you that you will allways be peacfull and happy in life as you serve others. As you serve where you are, your life will feel complete and you will feel Heavenly Fathers love more fully. :)

estradling75 Clearly there is some wiggle room in this requirement... Take the case of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies... They buried their weapons of war because they didn't wish to be tempted to murder again. While a case can be made that some of them were killed when the other Lamanites came after them... by and large the scriptures say they lived long righteous lives after they repented of their murders. No sacrificing of their own lives were necessary. Seems to me that their might be a certain level understanding required before it becomes necessary. :):):) Sorry I do not know how to to do the box things. The Anti-Nephi-Lehies did not have the Law or understanding of the Gospel. When the Gospel was taught to them they repented and did not want to Murder anymore. I think that they were not held accountable for the most part. The way the Nephites Knew the Gospel knew it as Murder. Today there are still some areas that still do not have the Law or the Gospel. If someone has had the opportunity to know the Law or has been taught the Law they will most likely be held to the standard that Joseph Fielding Smith talks about. I do not think that the Anit-Nephi-Lehies fall into this catagory.
  6. Thank you for your service. "We are his hands". :)
  7. Meana. I to was doing work for my wifes side. My Wife's side of the family I thought were not members. To my surprise a distant relative did alot of the work I thought I was going to be able to have completed. At first I thought who is this person and why are they doing this work. It was a couple of days latter when the Spirit softened my heart with gratitude for this relative who took the time not knowing if the work would ever be completed if they did not do it. Temple workers realize through council from the Temple Presidency that those names that do make it to the Temple are those who are waiting and ready to move in the Spirit World. I have reflected on the work that I have done with my family. Some Family members I have had a more urgent feeling to perform the temple work then others. The Spirit of Elijah inspires those who are getting this work done. There is alot of work going on in the Spirit World. Have you considered that your loved ones have been working with you on the other side by assiting with you being led to the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, being taught, and being Baptized etc. I believe that with all my heart. We must be very gratefull to any and all who have the desire to complete Temple work. The feelings of the Spirit that one feels while completing Temple work in not easy to put into words. The only way you can understand it is by doing it. By doing, will definetely build your Testimony of Temple work. There is much joy in the work of our Heavenly Father. As far as checking who is completing the work. Look who the contributers are. Usually you can Email. And do not worry. There is plenty of more work for you to complete. Temple work will never cease untill probably the Millenium is complete. Keep up the good work.
  8. Thank you LiterateParakeet. I edited my original.
  9. A Roman form of punishment usually inflicted only on slaves and the lowest criminals. The criminal was made to carry his own cross to the place of execution, which was always outside the city. The cross was driven into the ground, so that the feet of the prisoner were a foot or two above the surface. The cross was watched by four soildiers at a time until death took place, which was sometimes not until the third day. LDS. Bible Dictionary. I do acknowledge Jesus Christ was Crucified on a cross. I am eternally gratefull for the Atonement which was made for all. I will allways remember how he died. Religious or not, the Cross is a symbol which represented a way a person would suffer and eventually die in the days of Christ. This is a symbol of death. Many died using the Cross. I find it kind of strange that anyone would want to use the symbol of the Cross on anything to include all types of Jewelry. I think it would be inappropriate today for anyone to wear on a knecklace or display symbols of the way people die. What if Jesus Christ was killed by another method. Can you imagine wearing on your knecklace an Electric Chair , a Guillotine, Hanging Noose, or a GUN. Can you imagine putting pictures or symbols around your house or Church of a tree with a Hanging Noose, or a Guillotine. I do believe though that everyone has to respect each other in regards to this. The Cross is a powerfull Symbol which deserves respect and dignity to all Christians. I would prefer the Cross to be used more in reverance. I would rather be seeing more statues of the living Christ, or pictures of The Living Christ demonstrated, etc. ... But with all this said, I would not mind if everyone had a Cross in their front yard. The World would be a better place.
  10. I am happy for you. At the Stake Center, or ward building whichever building the Baptismal Font is at, there should be many white Baptism jump suits. You should plan on wearing all white to include under garments. You can wear all white socks if you prefer. This is going to be a very special day for you. Enjoy the many blessings.
  11. Even as an adult, the same rule applies to my original comment. Your friend will be just fine.
  12. From what you described it sounds as though this was something that she did as a child. This in my opinion is not a something to worry about. If she feel that she needs to talk with the Bishop, then she can but kissing another same sex individual as described does not make you a Homosexual. This sounds like she needs to get it off her chest. If she is actively engaged in these types of activities then talking to the Bishop without desire to repent could lead to disfellowship, or Excommunicated depending on the circumstances. My opinion is that repenting to Heavenly Father and making a commitment to not do this act again is all that is needed. Satan really tries his best to make us feel very unworthy. She will be welcome back with loving arms. Just think of all the blessings she has been missing out of. Do not give up on her. Sounds like she is lucky to have a good friend as yourself. :)
  13. Heavenly Father knows what we need, before we ask. I have 3 Nephews and 1 niece at BYU Idaho. There are many Financial Aids/Grants/etc. availible. Contact BYU Idaho. If you like online courses, there is a new program called Pathway. This is a online program threw BYU Idaho. A 4-year degree costs about $7,000. After 1 year you are a full student and can attend the campus if you like. :)
  14. Talk with your bishop. Do to your actions you might not be able to go on a mission. I hope you can work things out for the best. Stay strong no matter what happens. Good luck, and ctr.
  15. Wow. You are a great mother. I thank you for your support to allow your son to follow his desires to be baptised. This tells me that you have a nice family and do not judge others and that you teach your children to respect others beliefs. Thank you..... . As far as the missionary change over. If your son has a desire to be baptised and is going to church, he can talk with the missionaries on sunday, and let them know his desires. He can also talk with the ward mission leader and let him know what happened. It sounds like a mix up. It would not hurt to call the bishop as well if needed. Just understand that the missionaries are responsible for the baptism of your son, not the bishop. The missionaries have a mission president who they report to. And the interview for your son is conducted threw the missionaries. I am sure things will work out. What a great mother your son has. Good luck, and take care. :)
