  1. If your only concern is developing a strong long lasting fan relationship with members then I would say market yourself as a Mormon musician. If you are just looking for an audience and a fan base I would only mention being Mormon if someone asks you about your religion. I personally would not listen to a musician just because they are LDS, their music and songwriting has to be good. I have several friends who are song writers and musicians, for the most part they play to a wide audience but if asked, they will mention they are LDS. I know Jason Deere (of the Nashville Tribute Band), he did not start out as being a "Mormon musician", neither did any of the members of the Nashville Tribute Band. Jason, Brad, and Matt, and the others all started doing their own thing in Country music. Jason co-wrote and wrote a lot of Pop and Country songs and I don't think being Mormon ever came up.
  2. That would be a rip off. Cars depreciate in value, why would I want to wait 4 years before I start paying for my car?

  4. I'm not a therapist, but after reading your initial post it sounds like the problem is you believe this illness is somehow a punishment from Heavenly Father or from Satan. Cancer can happen to anyone at any time, it happens because our cells have become damaged and have stopped doing what they are supposed to do. There are many things that can cause cancer, viruses, chemicals that enter the body, genetics, among many other things. God and Satan have nothing to do with it.

  6. $35,000 is still not affordable for most Americans. I'm waiting for the elio, haha
  7. This is why there's some musicians I have no desire to see in concert because I don't want to pay for a ticket only to hear about their political views, no matter what they are.
  8. anatess, were you a member of Hanson.net? Your screen name looks familiar. I also loved Mmmbop when it came out, I was a bit older than the average fan, I was 18. I hated the grunge music of the late 80's and early 90s, so Mmmbop was kind of a breath of fresh air, lol. In 2006 I got to interview the guys before one of their concerts, very down to earth and nice guys. They love what they do and they love their fans. I don't care for some of the new stuff they have released though.
  9. I'm going on a cruise in December. The cruise leaves from Singapore and ends in Hong Kong. Since I'm going to be spending a lot of money on plane tickets and cruise, I thought I would get insurance just in case something happens and I have to cancel the trip. I would like to buy the plane tickets in the next week or two, because I'm afraid if I wait too long the prices will go up. Is the ticket insurance offered at the time of purchase sufficient? Will I be able to cancel my tickets if I get sick or injured and can't go on the trip?
  10. I agree with Just A Guy, if you have knowledge of these pictures and you haven't reported it to the police then you could get into trouble along with your son. I would either turn him in or kick him out of the house.
  11. I don't understand why the President congratulated this guy, like Vort said, "coming out" is all the rage now days...who cares? I bet that football player feels left out.
  12. Apple, what's your opinion on using protein skimmers when keeping corals? I've read some people believe that they remove too much of the good stuff out of the water. I was planning on using live rock and live sand as big part of my filtration.
  13. I was thinking of getting the BioCube HQI. I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos.
  14. Do you think I could keep some coral or anemones and just 2 or 3 fish plus a small clean up crew in a 29 gallon biocube? I know I would have to have special lighting and I wondered if any of those set ups came with better lighting, or I would have to customize it.
  15. I've been eyeing the Biocubes the past couple of weeks. I would love to start a saltwater tank with fish and coral, but from what I've read it's harder to keep a smaller saltwater tank. Several years ago I had a 100 gallon freshwater tank that had Cichlids (sp?) I kept it for about 2 years. One of them actually had babies. When I moved 3hrs away the fish didn't survive the ride very well. I also didn't have a very good spot to put the tank in my new place. They lasted several months then I just got rid of the tank. Apple, do you think I could keep a 29-30 gallon saltwater tank without a lot of problems? There's one corner of my living room that doesn't get a lot of sun and would be a perfect spot for a small tank. Did you buy one of those all-in-one biocubes, or just piece one together?
