  1. So when were your relations in Winnipeg? I was there from 88-90.
  2. It was tough to come up with what we wanted in a three minute submission, religion didn't make it in the video, but is mentioned in our application to the Amazing Race. No Noah is not gay. While that would have made for even more contrast, I think his wife and kids would have taken it badly =] As to those of you who aren't sure how you can help. Well mental waves of support are great. Really just watch the video and click "like" if you want. Share it with your friends, post it to facebook, whatever you feel inclined to do, we're just putting it out there hoping that people like us. We think that if we get enough views and "likes" it will help our chances. Thanks everyone for checking it out =]
  3. So my coworker has a dream to be on the Amazing Race, and thought I'd be the perfect teammate (which of course I am). I figure that with all the publicity the Church is getting lately, it would be great to get a member onto the Amazing Race, so we've applied. Check out our Video here Amazing Race Audition 2012-2013: Noah & Gary - YouTube Give us some feedback or share it with your friends. Check us out on tout.com as well. TOUT | Life's Moments Thanks for the help.
  4. HI folks, I'm new to the forum. I've been a member of the church all my life, and served a mission in the Canada Winnipeg mission. I'm married and have four children. I was raised in Utah but have lived in Northern California for about 12 years now. I just thought I'd say hello. If you want to know a little more about me you can check out this video Amazing Race Audition 2012-2013: Noah & Gary - YouTube My coworker and I are going to try and win the Amazing Race. It would be great in the "Mormon Moment". Help us out if you're so inclined =] Or check me out on my new favorite website tout.com TOUT | Life's Moments
  5. Wow this is a crazy one. I imagine that at some point something will change and the cat will be out of the bag and then good luck man, you'll need it. I think it's great that you think so much of your family and friends that you don't want to let them down, but living a lie that will one day come to light might not be a good solution. How can you love someone that you lie to? You just don't want the inconvenience of the truth. yes people will be hurt, but your hurting them now without telling them.
  6. I have had the great good fortune to never have to start later than 1. But I've heard of it happening, usually associated with building remodel.
  7. I'm sure we all hear the caffeine and cola thing a ton. I think really it's a personal thing. Certainly we can agree that since it isn't a Temple Recommend question there hasn't been any specific doctrine set down yet. But since we have to ask the question and we know that caffeine is a stimulant and is addictive, and Prophets have made statements about it's use, we ought to conclude that it will one day be doctrine. I think it's a personal thing. How do you feel about it, if you think it's OK, drink it, if you think it's not, then don't. Personally caffeine makes me sick so I pretty much avoid it. But I love caffeine free Pepsi, Coke and Dr. Pepper.
  8. You think it's bad now wait until he's a teenager =]
  9. This is a really interesting topic. I had a German teacher in college who also taught Hebrew. He was looking into Hebrew influence in Europe, like from the scattering of Israel, but I bet he'd have input into this as well.
