  1. This is a post from my blog in which I ask my fellow Mormons the following question: What teachings of the LDS church do you consider to be essential? In other words, what church teachings are so important – so foundational – that if you found out they weren’t true you’d probably leave the church? What LDS Teachings Are Essential? | In Fide Scientiam
  2. Should a believing Mormon simply accept violent perspectives that appear in the Book of Mormon and other “restoration” scriptures? Here are some of my thoughts: Violence in the Restoration Scriptures | In Fide Scientiam
  3. I gave a lesson in church (elders quorum) today about the scriptural admonition to “seek learning, even by study and also by faith” (D&C 88:118). I found some great quotes about that topic that I used as the basis for my lesson. I posted some of these quotes on my blog (see link below). I thought that some of you might enjoy these quotes. “Seek Learning, Even by Study and Also by Faith†| In Fide Scientiam
  4. Hello. I recently wrote an essay summarizing the most important arguments on both sides of the Book of Abraham debate: In Fide Scientiam | To our faith add knowledge My goal with this essay was to accurately and objectively present the best arguments both for and against the premise that the Book of Abraham is divine scripture. I would welcome any feedback from those who have more knowledge about BoA issues than I do (whether from a critical or believing perspective). Thank you in advance for your feedback! -Tom Hardman
