  1. Oh Quin, that's a terrible situation, I'm really really sorry for what you and your kids are going through. Can't you do anything to get them away from him? I'm assuming a court lets him have access, and I worry about any court that lets an abusive father near his kids. Mandy, I don't have a lot more to add, just stay away from your ex and good luck with the rest of your life. :) Vort, I honestly believe that's the case in some respects. Sex education is optional or arrives too late and a lot of kids can't talk to their parents, so they don't know these things. State schools are making a big effort but the private/independent sector can teach what they like, and sex ed is often left out, (something I get on my soap box about at times.)
  2. That's where I got it from, they're my favourite band. :) Oh yes, it was everything with custard! (Except custard.) Yummy, someone I work with does the same, it's nice to know other people like apple and cheese too. :) anatess, I still eat tomatoes like apples, I get so annoyed with recipes that call for the throwing away of the seeds, those are the best bits!
  3. My partner went through a phase of having custard with everything when he was a kid, he grew out of it eventually, though he still really likes custard. My weird thing as a kid was eating icing sugar with a spoon and melting chocolate bourbon biscuits on the radiator and then eating the melted bits, (this was always in the middle of the night after I raided the kitchen.) I now eat marshmallow fluff straight from the jar, (which is why I don't buy it so much anymore,) and every so often I will use a candle to toast marshmallows with, using a fork and standing well back. Another one I have is eating slices of cheddar cheese and apples together.
  4. Hey guys, thank you so much for all your good wishes! I couldn't get my man into a Mormon church for anything, not even to get married. He has his beliefs, as I have mine, and he is supporting me in his own way, he just doesn't want to convert himself.
  5. Hiya, my name is Hannah, I'm 24, (I'll be 25 a week on Thursday,) and my username comes from a song by my favourite band. I'm in a long-term relationship with a man I hope to marry, but who is agnostic at best. I'm joining this site to help me learn more about Mormonism, I'm fairly new to it, I haven't even been baptised yet and I am very excited. Two weeks ago today I was stopped by two very polite young gentlemen who happened to be missionaries, they gave me The Book Of Mormon to read, and it's sort of snowballed from there. The date of my baptism in the 29th September. I went to a Mormon church for the first time on Sunday and felt very welcome, if a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing.
