  1. Don't let the naysayers deter you from quitting. If it's gum, or an e-cigerrette, than use it until you get that monkey off your back. I've heard that brushing your teeth after each time you ritually smoked (after eating or sleeping, etc...) you could also overcome the "itch". (I think there was something in there about drinking grapefruit juice as well) My hat is off to you for having joined the One and True Kingdom of God on the Earth. Don't forget your testimony and why you joined the Church in the first place.
  2. I think this has been the case in several of the Church's recent statements/ policies. Doesn't mean that Samuel or in this case- the Church leadership are not inspired, just shows the direction the masses of the membership are inclined to lean.
  3. Hello, name is Ephraim. I'm a 1st generation life long member in the church. (Mom and Dad were both converts) Served a full time mission, and then went to school and got my bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Rhetorical Communication. I am now married and have three great kids. We live here in Texas, and I work in retail management. My hobbies are guns, prepping, movies, history, reading, and spending time with my family. I am interested in speaking with other members of our faith in a non church setting about issues that are relevant in today's society that church may not be the best forum to discuss about. Thank you the mods and the owners of this forum for giving us a place to meet up and talk. Cheers!
