Hi Kerrie. I'm Don. I am a new user of this forum and am still trying to figure it all out. I've been a member of the LDS church since 1971 but not an active one. I'm now back to stay. I really enjoy it when I go to church. Everybody is so warm and friendly. It's a nice change from all the other religions where people hang out in cliques. My girlfriend will be getting baptized in the church soon too which we are looking forward to.

Welcome Revon. I love to chat especially about God and the church. I have no personal issues with talking about the universe too if you wish. Why not? God created it too. Didn't He? (that's strictly a rhetorical question)

Hello newbie. I'm kind of a newbie but not at the same time. I have been a member since I was 8 in 1971. I ended up going my own way and doing much to disappoint God. After I had separated from a 9 yr relationship with a woman who (at this time at least) certainly hasn't found God (I truly pray that she does soon). Anyway, I was very alone. I started to really pray to God at this time. I asked (as our prophet Joseph Smith had done) as to which church (as I've been to a number) was the right one. Then one day when I was leaving my cousin's place there were 2 missionaries across the street and I started talking to them. They came to my home and helped me find God again. I love him now with everything I have and will never turn back. I testify that the living gospel is again on earth, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the Mormon Church is the true and living church. It will be well worth your time to talk to a couple missionaries and start attending meetings. I don't feel that you will regret it. Welcome Home!!!!!

Hi Everybody my name is Don. I was initially introduced to the Mormon religion when I was 8 years old. My parents decided at that time that it was time to get baptized and so me, my older brother and sister, along with our parents got baptized. After a few years my parents grew away from the church then stopped going completely. As I was only a child and the church was 30 miles away I had to stop going as well. I went a few times when I was a teen but never really got interested. I then went along with my life and made a lot of mistakes and sinned many many many times. I stole, drank a lot, watched porn and so on. Then when I was about 48 I started really talking to God and asked him what church was the right one (much the same question as Joseph Smith without all the wonderful glory). A couple years later I met up with a couple missionaries that were at a friends house that was also across the street from where a cousin of mine lived and I was just leaving and saw them. I went over and started talking to them and invited them to come to my house. They did and I didn't go back right away I looked at one other religion but came back back to the LDS. I have read the Book of Mormon and can testify to it being true. I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and living church back on the earth. I know this without a second thought in my mind. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and will NEVER turn away again. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
