  1. Welcome, having a disaster preparedness member will be beneficial. I think there is a really bad flu pandemic on the horizon, atleast two independant sources in the Government that I know tell me they believe it will hit soon. May explain why the Church has been stressing atleast a 3 month supply of food lately. If it does hit you'll be quarantined to your home for six to twelve weeks. Anyhow, it's good to have you here.
  2. I had a girlfriend when I left for my mission, she wasn't LDS. I saw where things were headed and I sent a Dear Jane, she wasn't happy. In fact her response said more about who she was than two years of dating.
  3. Good to have you here, seems like there are many good people on this site, you will be a great addition.
  4. Some of the MADB crowd may remember me from such provocative posts such as "The Mutual Improvement Assiciation is MIA" and "The Ward Road Show Never went Anywhere" Anyway I read more than I post and when I do post it adds no substance to the discussion whatsoever, so I apologize ahead of time. Since this is an introduction, i'll start by telling you about my family of which I am very proud. I am married to an absolute fitness lover. My wife gets up at 5am lifts weights for an hour and then runs 7 miles. (On the other hand, I get up at 5am because I have to and then proceed to get as much cereal and milk into my bowl as possible without having to pick up stray cocoa puffs off the floor) My wife is 11 weeks along and we are expecting a baby on May 8th. She is going back to school to get an exercise science degree starting this January and will graduate with her bachelors in 2 years. My 4 and a half year old son loves cars, planes, robots and Napoleon Dynamite, he can do the entire dance sequence at the end of the movie by memory which I find a little strange but I love him just the same. He is very excited about finally having a younger brother or sister. As for me I work for a company that makes flash memory, I repair and maintain several different versions of plasma reactors. I tell people what I do is top secret, it really isn't but it beats having to think of way to explain what plasma is, i'm mostly just lazy. I spent 6 years in the Marines and am now serving in the Air Force Reserves. I may end up going back to Iraq this spring which will be ok. I fix medical equipment in the AF so i'll be in an air conditioned tent most of the time. Whoa is me sniff, sniff the AF is tough duty. I'll let everyone go, it's late and i'm sure i'll regret having written this in the morning
