I'm a little confused. This IS a SLC LDS talk forum? Right?

How can we be sure YOU are writing that post and not someone pretending to be you? I suppose it is absolutely true that SOMEONE wrote that post and sure it wasn't written before someone wrote it, but how can you say that the things written in the post are absolute truth?Some would have you think that to tell the truth ineptly is to lie and that most arguments about the truth and falseness of concepts are really disagreements as to their importance. I think truth is relative to time, place, and person, and an absurd emphasis may be necessary today to make tomorrow's truth available. Yup, that's what I think anyway.

In our church a priesthood officer can choose to turn in his/her card for personal reasons. It basically means they will not function in any role as PH. Some reactivate it. Some do not. The Holy Call is always there though. Does he really hold THE priesthood? And the Holy Cow is always where?

I thought you were a chick? Deb...short for Debbie or Debrah. I presume Ray and Snow are fellow Priesthood holders. I was not including myself. Also, call me old fashion, but I do not appreciate being called a "chick." I find it quite rude. If we females are chicks (chickens), what counterpart word do you suppose should be used for you males? I doubt THAT word can be used on this chat site.

We're on the same page in that I understand your position. We are not on the same page in that I think you are 400 megabytes short of a gigabyte. I have an image in my head of you in a dark room on bended knee pleading that the truth of 1 + 1 = 2 be revealved to you by the power of the Holy Spirit and then you fill with joy as your bosum burns with affirmation. Then I wonder how it is that others, evil atheist mathematicians, know - more certainly than you that 1 + 1 = 0 when they are not privy to the inner prompting of the Holy Spirit. But I don't wonder that for long. Finally I conclude by reflecting how sad it is that you think that God's crowning achievement, his work and his glory - man - is so pathetically weak and stupid and illogical that he cannot know that 1 + 1 = 0 without his direct involvement through the Holy Ghost I didn't do real well in Math class, but I'm fairly sure that 1 + 1 does NOT equal zero. Maybe YOU should get on YOUR knees and maybe it's YOU who's a few megs short of a gig.

Almost seems like some things just can't be explained or expressed in words. Like describing the taste of salt. It saddens me to see fellow Priesthood holders bickering about something like falling trees. I'm hoping that you are really just playing around and that no real animosity exists here.

Btw, this particular post can be found on page 22 of that thread. I’ll also give you a short response, just in case this is enough to clarify my point. The organized church of Christ remains on Earth as long as there are people on Earth with the keys of the kingdom, because the keys of the kingdom give people the right to organize and officiate in the Church. You seem to be saying that the keys of the kingdom are NOT retained by people who are in apostasy, and I will now ask you to clarify how you can make such a claim. I say that the keys of the kingdom can only be taken away by Jesus or those people called by Him to organize and officiate in His church, and just as only He or those people can take them away, only He or those people can give them to other people. Or in other words, there is no mysterious or unseen event that occurs when the keys of the kingdom are given are taken away, as each event always consists of physical and actual appearances and events, with such appearances and events being documented for all the world to see. I completely agree with you, Ray. Whenever I think of the Keys to the Kingdom, I shake my head in wonderment that all the other churches in the world don't see or understand the importance of having the ones given by God Himself. I like to think of it as having the only set of keys, if you will, that can open the doors to heaven and all the others only have keys that don't fit the lock in THAT door. Know what I mean?

I totally agree with you Strawberry Fields. Have you seen or heard about those awful TV programs out now? I think one is called Desperate Housewives and the other is called Sex in the City. I haven't seen them, but from what I've heard they are disgusting. It's bad enough that they foist homosexuality on us all the time, but now they seem to think all we want on TV is sex, sex and more sex. Satan isn't pulling any punches in his attempt to destroy the youth of this country.

An increased attention to detail might resolve this misunderstanding: Snow: "manhandling" Strawberry Fields: "mishandling" Makes me wonder how many other "conversations" here are likewise initiated. Many of these threads seem both surreal and veridical, whimsical and graphic, straightforward and sly.

I'm not acting dumb. In fact, I don't think I'm dumb at all. I just don't know what "efurnial" means and I can't find it in the dictionary. If any one knows what it means, please tell me. Are you calling me dumb just because I don't know the meaning of a word I can't look up?
