  1. Get extra help to watch the kids or remove the kid from the problem before it gets worse or the other kid ends up hurting him more. One time a kid scratched my kid's cornea and he had to go the emergency room. It's not worth exposing a kid to injury just to be nice or for fear that the other family may take it the wrong way. Just remove the kid from the situation. At that age, it's highly unlikely that the parents will be able to control a kid that's prone to hurt others. They don't do it on purpose but they may have it in them from a very early age. Or, be there with your kid. Get released to watch your kid if you have a calling. Do talk to your Bishop but don't have any action with the parents. Some people get really offended when you tell them anything about their little one.
  2. There are two scriptures that imply the God created evil and I am not sure what the LDS interpretation of that is. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Amos 3:6
  3. Remember the missionary in Brazil who was killed. That was a hit-and-run. I consider that a hate crime.
  4. There are about 20 lost books mentioned in the Bible. Because they're mentioned IN the Bible does that mean that they are SUPPOSED to be IN the Bible? We don't have those lost books and so who does? Where are they? I've checked Lost and found and...hmmm... Nothin'.
  5. Do we sustain the laws of the land and expect other members to do the same to be worthy to enter the House Of The Lord and is this something we should all be concerned with? Or is Articles 12 going the way of the dinossaur?
  6. Sound like EITHER way would be wrong. Whether someone is sealed or not, it's STILL someone else's wife. However, I don't blame Joseph Smith for doing what he needed to do. Solomon had lots of wives and concubines. We don't fully obey what the Prophets say, for example, the Prophet Joseph Smith wrote in articles 12 of the Articles of Faith that we are to sustain the laws of the land. Given the current debacle over illegal immigration, it's obvious that article #12 has been totally ignored. So, sometimes, things just "happen" as the case of marrying other people's wives an that was so long ago...Irrelevant today. Sometimes we just ignore the laws of the land or laws, period. It's unfortunate, but that's what people do.
  7. For some reason that video makes me laugh... I feel bad for the pastor but I don't blame church leaders for having body guards nowadays. I think it's the background music and the sounds effects.
  8. This video has a lot of subliminal messages in it. The Gospel, Brother Hinckley's mission and reunion ... Pretty cool, I think: YouTube - Tribute To Gordon B. Hinckley 1910-2008 LDS Prophet The First Presidency and the First/Second Counselors are in leadership until the succession is confirmed, 3 days after the Funeral.
  9. What did you think of Bush's state of the Union Address tonight as far as what he wants to do? What caught your attention?
  10. This is a great video in his memory. Short and nice...YouTube - Gordon B. Hinckley 1910-2008 RIP
  11. I am wondering why we tend to dwell in the past when it comes to Mormonism. If we dwell in the past over the Bible, the OT would give us all some real challenges. Polygamy is of the past. Joseph Smith had many wives. Brigham Young had many wives. Polygamy was abolished and it's over. There is no need to focus on it anymore. We have other pressing issues at stake right now that are more important.
